Medal chance slips away for Singapore

20th August, Munich: Singapore bowlers allowed a chance to win a medal slipped away after missing the top four five-player team final shootout of the World Men's Championships 2010 ending the second block in eighth position overall on Friday.

Ng Tiac Pin, Mark Wong, Basil Low (alternating for Justin Lim), Jason Yeong-Nathan and Remy Ong, who finished third in Squad 2 in the morning with 6054 total pinfalls, felled short by 65 pins to fourth-placed, Colombia.

Singapore team in the hunt for finals
Singapore bowlers were in the hunt for a spot in the five-player team finals of the World Men's Championships 2010 after finishing a creditable third in the second squad on Thursday.
No progress for Singapore bowlers
No progress were made by the Singapore bowlers when the World Men's Championships 2010 resumed with the first block of the Trios event at Dream Bowl Palace on Tuesday.
