The final brought the best out of both pairs and the Singapore youths did not go down without a fight as they were narrowly edged by the Clombians, 473-481 to be denied their first gold.
Jazreel's 1323 in the doubles event moved her up into ninth in the All Events standings with 2533. Daphne also improved to 12th position with 2494 while Shayna moved up three notches to 15th with 2480.
Hui Fen finished 19th position with 2451, just 22 pins off 16th placed, Christine Bator of USA on 2473. The two Singapore pairs winning a silver and bronze put them firm favourite to do well in the team events which begins on Thursday July 29. |
